Ministers from the Government of Brunei Darussalam, including the Second Minister of Finance and Economy, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Amin Liew Abdullah; the Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry, Dato Seri Setia (Dr.) Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein; the Minister of Development, Dato Seri Setia Ir Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar; and the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications, Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia, together with the Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, and Mohammad Harris bin Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Director of the Foreign Direct Investment Action and Support Centre, visited HLDS (B) STEEL SDN BHD for an inspection and briefing.
During the visit, the company presented its operations, production capabilities and product applications. The delegation expressed positive recognition of the company’s development potential and its contribution to industrial growth in Brunei Darussalam.

HLDS (B) STEEL SDN BHD successfully completed its first shipment of solar torque tubes. The shipment marked the company’s official entry into the renewable energy supply chain and demonstrated its manufacturing capability in meeting the technical and quality requirements of solar power projects.
The delivery of solar torque tubes represented an important milestone in the company’s strategic development, reflecting its expansion from the traditional energy sector into the renewable energy industry. This development laid a solid foundation for the company’s future sustainable growth and long-term diversification, while supporting the transition towards cleaner energy solutions.
